The genuine Dyson DC14 and DC15 Cyclonic Assembly uses seven jets of air to separate the dirt and dust from the air, keeping it trapped in the clear dust bin assembly (sold separately). At the top of the genuine Dyson DC14 and DC15 Cyclonic, just below the handle, is the washable pre-filter assembly part number 908483-01. After the air is drawn through the cleaner head and up the Valve Pipe, it passes through the pre-filter assembly and from there is drawn through the cyclone jets and into the cyclonic chamber, where the dirt is separated into the clear dust bin. The clean air is then passed through the post motor filter and leaves your DC14 and DC15.
